At JenTer, we specialize in creating customized flexible heating solutions that are produced to meet the needs of our customers. Unlike some companies that create a limited number of heater options, we focus on providing a selection of heaters that can be modified for different applications.
Understanding the different options can be confusing, which is why our team is here to help you select the custom flexible heating elements that are ideal for your application. In many types of systems, more than one heater may be a good fit, and it often boils down to the one that is most effective and efficient. Our team can ask the questions to help narrow down the selection and find the ideal custom heater for your needs.
Open Coil Heaters
Open coil heaters are perhaps one of our popular solutions. They are used in a wide variety of applications for both industrial and medical heating. Our open coil heaters use a variety of alloys for the coils, and they are typically mounted on mica or ceramic. Due to the design, they provide almost instant heat, which is a critical consideration in many applications.
Economical, long lasting, compact, and requiring minimal tooling, makes these a great option for many applications. Most systems include the exposed resistant heating coil and a thermostat, as well as a thermal fuse. Our open coil heaters provide custom flexible heating elements for any applications. They can be used for generating temperatures over 2000 degrees Fahrenheit.
Silicone Rubber Heaters
Rugged, durable, and produced to be used in many environments, these are the ideal heater for many applications. The silicone rubber heaters can be bonded or vulcanized on metal, making them a great choice for standard and atypical heating requirements.
The heating coil or wire is encapsulated between two sheets of silicone rubber. The rubber is then bonded, allowing us to create custom shapes and sizes for the heating elements. We offer the option of adding a thermostat or simply designing the heater to reach a desired temperature and hold that temperature.
Kapton® Heaters®
When space is a consideration, Kapton®® heaters and elements are often the best option in flexible heating solutions. Sometimes known as a film heater, or a flex heater, they are made from thin sheets of polyimide with a heating element inside.
Using circuit imaging, these heaters can provide different heat patterns in the same element and space. They are widely used in commercial applications as well as in automotive applications. A Kapton®® heater is very durable and provides optimal thermal stability while still being easy to maintain. The polyimide sheets are transparent, so the wiring and internal components are visible if needing to troubleshoot the heater.
Another benefit of these custom flexible heating elements is their resistance to chemicals and moisture. They are durable and dependable, which makes them an ideal option for mission-critical types of heating applications and requirements.
Fiberglass Rope Heaters
Small, compact, and extremely durable, our fiberglass rope heaters are the ideal solution when a long-life cycle and optimal temperature control are the most important factors.
These heaters are made by wrapping resistance wire around the core heating material, which is then wrapped in braided fiberglass to transfer the heat and provide insulation. Like a rope, they can be configured into any shape, which makes these ideal for coffee maker heaters, battery warmers, pipe heat wraps, car seats, and other heating needs that require flexible solutions.
JenTer offers both moisture resistant and standard types of rope heating solutions. They can operate at temperatures up to 932° Fahrenheit. We offer a top selection of diameter sizes and lengths of fiberglass rope heaters up to one hundred feet.
Mica Heaters
If uniform and even distribution of heat is a concern with the application, our mica heating elements and heaters may be the ideal solution. We use Phlogopite or Muscovite as the insulation material, which includes a high-temperate and heat-resistant polymer. The result is a heating element that can heat up quickly and continuously and safely operate at a very high temperature.
These heaters are produced to mount into your application. They can be shaped and sized to meet the specific requirements of your heating needs. Mica heaters are known for their top temperature range, which allows them to operate over a wide range of temperatures. They are high watt density heaters that provide fast temperature transfer and extremely even heat distribution.
